The future of fashion must be wildlife free

Each year, millions of wild animals endure unimaginable suffering, only to be slaughtered so that their fur, skins, or feathers can be used to create clothes, shoes, bags, and other accessories.

Fashion weeks are a critical platform for change

Fashion weeks are among the most influential events in the industry, setting trends that ripple across the globe. As long as garments made from wild animal skins, furs, and feathers continue to be showcased on these prestigious catwalks, the demand for such materials will persist, and millions of animals will continue to suffer.

As one of the "big four" fashion weeks, London Fashion Week (LFW) plays an important role in shaping global fashion standards. In 2023, the British Fashion Council (BFC), which organises LFW, took a significant step by banning fur from all LFW activities. This was a huge victory, but the fight is far from over.

We are calling on the BFC to strengthen their commitment to wildlife-friendly fashion by banning all wild animal products from LFW. Such a move would not only help protect countless animals from suffering but would also send a powerful message to the entire industry: Fashion can be beautiful without being cruel.
