We were not able to find any animal welfare policy or strategy held by Barclays. Not having one means that Barclays could be investing your money into factory farming projects which are harming animals, people, and the planet.
We also found that there was no mention of the FARMS initiative, which is a collaborative effort by World Animal Protection, Humane Society International, and Compassion in World Farming, aiming to establish universal guidelines for animal welfare in the production and supply chains of meat, fish, milk, and eggs.
Because of these failings we scored Barclays a very poor score of 0% ranking them with the worst banks when it comes to animal welfare.
